In-depth About New Skincare Products

I received my package from lyko.no yesterday, and I am really excited about these new products I got. I bought two new products and two products I had to repurchase.

The new products are the Niacinamide formula from The Ordinary and the facial lotion from Cetaphil. Since my skin started to behave badly I have been very careful with what I put on my skin, so now I always do in-depth research about the products. I will share with you what I found in my research and why I chose to buy these products.

The products I bought

The Ordinary
Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%

I have heard both good and bad about this product. I thought I would take a chance with this product because the good reviews have been very good. The formula is to be applied to the entire face both morning and evening before heavier cream. It is fragrance-free and alcohol-free and feels like a serum.

What does the product do? The mix of Niacinamide and Zinc reduces the look of blemishes and balances visible sebum activity. It is not a treatment for acne.

Why did I buy it? I have high sebum activity on my chin and cheeks and I also have lots of blemishes in my skin after breakouts, therefore I wanted to try this product to regulate the sebum activity in my skin and improve my skin texture by reducing the look of blemishes.

“Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is indicated to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes and congestion. A high 10% concentration of this vitamin is supported in the formula by zinc salt of pyrrolidone carboxylic acid to balance visible aspects of sebum activity.”

Cetaphil
Facial Lotion

This product is a hydrating facial lotion that lets the skin breathe without clogging the pores in your skin. It strengthens the skin’s natural protective barrier. It is a lightweight and fragrance-free product. This lotion is recommended by dermatologists and clinically approved. For sensitive to normal skin.

What does the product do? It hydrates your face without clogging your pores, and leaves your skin feeling soft without feeling greasy.

Why did I buy it? I have been using the Nivea Care Intensive Nourishment cream for many years, but it is a bit thick for me and I believe it is clogging my pores. I have tried the Cetaphil facial lotion twice now and it leaves my skin breathing (a little goes a long way with this product!).

The other two products I bought are the peeling solution from The Ordinary and the OGX biotin and collagen shampoo. These are products that I really liked and repurchased. If anyone is interested in my opinion on these products and product information I can write a review on them! ❤

I will update you on my opinion of these new skincare products when I have been using them for a while. I have now used both products twice and together, and so far so good!
