When it comes to perfume I am a very picky person, and I cannot stomach heavy or sweet scents. I have come to prefer quality scents that give me a sense of luxury. Over the years I have found out that for me those quality scents are fresh citrus and delicate musk.
Musk is a woody and mysterious scent, that for some reason smells different on every person who wears it and lasts for a long time. Citrus fragrances can be mixed with many other scents and they will always give a fresh and clean feeling.
My current and all-time favorite scent is none other than the Hermès Eau Des Merveilles. For many years I have been asking for the tester for this perfume at Sephora, and this summer I finally bought one myself.

The perfume of enchantment. An amber wood for women, surprising and magical.
Jean-Claude Ellena
The history of the perfume:
From surprise to magic and from magic to enchantment, Eau des Merveilles leads us by the nose on a dream cloud. A multi-faceted novel built on a woody amber accord that resonates right through to the top notes, it was created in 2004 by Ralph Schwieger and Nathalie Feisthauer and successfully rose to the challenge of being a sparkling fragrance for women with not a flower in sight.
This is the perfect fragrance for me. The elemi and benzoin create a sophisticated and woody scent, and the bitter orange brings it all together into a unique fragrance that leaves you with a feeling of luxury.
